Stay Cool and Beat the Heat Tips and Tricks

This must be the hottest summer on record ever! With the temperature being exceptionally hot these days, we’re all looking for ways to beat that summer sizzling heat. We’ve got a list of summer must-have items for you to keep you and your family cool this summer so you don’t get a heat stroke in this heat. To start with, get a programmable thermostat or analog thermostat to know how hot or cool it is if you don’t have one.

  • Don’t Forget Air Conditioners and Fans

Make sure to get a portable AC in case you don’t have one and this one is the best. Then get a mini portable AC for desk as it works wonders.

In case you are interested you can DIY air conditioner. All you have to do is freeze a few water bottles, which in this heat, you probably already have lying around. You can also put these water bottles in front of the floor fans for a DIY AC and it works, just try it. Then place a floor fan, or desk fan or this desk fan in front of the water bottles. Then there is this ultra-slim oscillating floor fan that works wonders to cool the air round you. I use it every day and it is great. It also helps to also have hand held folding fans to keep cool in the heat.



You’ll enjoy a much cooler breeze with your new DIY air conditioner, without paying the high electricity bills of running the air conditioner all summer long. It is also good to have this handy as a backup if the Air Conditioner breaks. There is nothing worse on a hot day than having to deal with broken air conditioner and wait for it to get fixed. If that happens for you take cold showers, put a frozen or cold towel around you, use the fans and drink plenty of liquid. Remember to take those water bottles with you when you go out and they will stay cool even in the hot car.   • Cook Smart

Any appliance that generates heat inside your home isn’t one you want to be using.  An oven turned on can raise your heat by 10 degrees in a hurry and add to those already mounting cooling costs. Try these inflatable ice serving trays, or thermal lunch box food jar to keep it hot or cold so serve cold soups, salads, fruits, raw foods, etc.

Start by spraying your wrists to quickly cool down the blood flowing through your veins.  Why not let the kids have fun with theirs and decorate them with some stickers? Choose to wear light and loose clothes in summer.
